stefanie,

The only reason I thought it was a waste was because the boys look so different now. You are correct that separate sacs doesn't automatically mean fraternal. I didn't know this until I had twins, but it is much more complicated than that, and it is common for doctors to oversimplify the fact.

I'd say do it, especially since the IUGR could mask the similarities. Let me know how it goes!

I can't believe how friggin' cute he is!!

Also, my husband and I have thought about getting that genetic test. You think it's a waste? The twins were in separate sacs with separate placentas which my OB said meant they were fraternal. But the high risk doc said no way to tell unless you have them tested. Since they are both girls and have same blood type but due to IUGR are 5 pounds apart we can't tell!

I don't have a boy, but I'm a traditionalist. If I did, I imagine he'd have short boy hair like boys did back in the 1950s. I'm crazy that way.

OMG me too! My boys have the same (non) haircut! I love it long, and would die if they cut their shaggy locks off. I may have to use that picture, as I am usually left trying to describe the cut with muffled words like "shaggy," "surfer-ish," almost "transient" like.

And, Beck is rad.
